O you scarred one

O scarred being,
do not let the world dictate.

The collaborator hits you with the bullet,
the other laments your wounds.

They call you their own.

.. and then ..

Some days go by,
the mourner appears.

Just that this time,
in roles switched over.

The hidden collaborator.

This time, running away from your wound.
mutilating you further.

justifying their ways.
Glorifying their acts.
Oh! those exalted souls.

We are all collaborating.
Some with tangible devils.
Some with their hidden monsters.

I tell you, my dear, do not let the world dictate.

Allah u ahad, Allah u ahad.

I will show you the way,
and maybe one day,
You and I will know.

We will work out our own designs.
Holding reality in our hearts.

One day,
We will not sway.

I want you to know.
You have eyes more beautiful,
and
A merciful Lord.

No need to fear this world.
It all is in His hands.

One day,
You and I will not sway.

-meet-

What about the abandoned one?
Are you going to leave her alone?
The dark clouds hovering above.
Aren't they going to make her shiver?

What about you?
Aren't you going to give a helping hand?

You'll look.
Your eyes penetrating her soul.
Tattered, or so it'd seem.
Stitched up, just in time.
So she could be around.
However, she will be oblivious.
You'll look.
and overlook.

And you'll die a little more,
hard, a little more.

Sleep, for you're doing that anyway

For those who feel their hearts are unaware, make dhikr of Allah.

We created many of the jinn and the mankind for Hell. They have hearts that they do not understand with. They have eyes they do not see with. They have ears they do not hear with. Such people are like cattle. No, they are even further astray. They are the unaware. 7:179

Remember your Lord in yourself humbly and fearfully without loudness of voice, morning and evening. Do not be of the unaware. 7:205

Planted for you, across this globe.

A beautiful couplet from the work of the great Urdu poet, Ghalib.

The sound of humility.

I tell you, my friend, do not let this transience get to you.
A little more.
Of hope, patience and strength.
Walk like the humble,
and tread towards the peaceful whole.
A state of mindfulness.

This road will surely come to an end.

What matter most ..

To Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.

It is that last ray of sun that always brings me back home.
Home, my peaceful space.
Its coordinates, unknown.
The fact that Allah knows.
The fact that HE alone does.
The world will surely fail. It was meant to be this way.
An attribute embedded into it.
Inherently flawed.
Outwardly, concerned.
It was never meant to quench your inner cry, anyway.
It will knock you down.
Crush you over.
Praise you. Embrace you.
Tag its own meanings to your words.
It doesn't know.
How can it?
Boundless, it comes it with its limitations.
To this world, you're its canvas. It paints the way it suits.
It is this dunya, anyway.

This fall is exuberating,
emancipating this caged being.
Don't let it make your heart sway!
It is designed to free you,
Of these million chains.
Chains, invisible; it's grip you can surely feel.

Fly, O freer soul.
high above its reach.
Defeat this gravity.
Don't let it get to you.
Try to stay discreet.

A secret I wish to confide with you -
fly and disappear.
Say Salaam, and let it be.

Teen

We don't own anything. Do we?
Whatever we have, it's a gift and a test from Allah. It is like Allah's trust with us.

Imagine you've a friend who gave you her house as an amanah (trust) for some time, and you live in that house, keep it in a good shape. It is a trust after all. One day, some guests visit you and they speak of their possessions. Suddenly, feelings ( whisperings ) of show off sprout in your heart. You feel like you want to show them how beautiful and big *your* house is. Your house?!

That's exactly what we do when we show off even an atom of what we have been blessed with. Be and it is, Go and it is gone; things are quite easy for HIM. All this is going to end up! What are we bragging about? That piece of land; an earthquake and it will all be torn apart, and the house that will then be all rubble. The fabric that we wear, the wealth that we own! Sometimes, the knowledge that inhabits our minds. This is how low we can possibly fall!

Allah mentions in the second chapter (Surah) of the Quran --
Alif, Lam, Meen. That is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. -- Surah Al Baqarah, 1-5

Spending out from what we have been provided implies that we do not own anything. All of it is from Allah. It is a test Allah puts in our way, to gauge our hearts. Are we getting too attached?  Are our minds open enough to see the source, or are we too lost in ourselves? Are we being a subservient to the Creator or that which He created for our ease? Are we defining ourself by the material, the plastic; that which doesn't even have life? It looks like that is where we all are headed. Abyss !
Let's lift the veil. Let's see our bare self in the infinity of the sky. After all, we are all just clay.

May Allah save us. May Allah help us see the reality always. May we always be indulged deeply in introspection of our own selves. May Allah put barakah into our lives.

JUSTICE !

I see patterns of justice in this ephemeral world,
Patterns that convict it of its fleeting nature;
I see it tearing apart for justice,
Justice for the powerful, the wealthy,
The one who is loaded with arsenal.

A free world order,
Isn't that too much to ask?
To ask of those you can't look beyond the mirrors,
lost in their shadows,
They really are!

Justice for you, if the other refutes your mastery,
refuses to be smeared by your peaceful forces.

Justice for you, if your dreams do not come true,
yours is the bridge built over a million corpses.

Justice for you, if you the turn world blind,
rob it of the very fabric of transparency.

Justice for you, if you join forces,
else you pave way for your own exodus.

Justice for you, though you make the black, white,
shade it gray, when it suits you,
when you fail to zip them up.

Justice, as you define,
In all justice.

But for us is justice,
Everlasting peace.
In God, we put our trust.
Salaam.

The state of this heart.

The state of this heart is nothing less than the earth at the poles that wants the sun rays to visit them.
It's longing for such spectacular reunion, awaits its home in the midst of this exile.

"O turner of hearts, turn our hearts in Your way." ~

Ends and means.

Do not rush through things just to be done with them. Live it all to its very core. Allah blessed you with the moment, so it must be for the best of your interests. Instead of paying way too much attention to destination, enjoy the journey. It is the journey that moulds you, not the end. The end is just a means to get you on to your path. What we often tend to do is, dismiss the beauty of the track, the topography of the mountain because we are busy concentrating at the summit. There is nothing special about the summit, it's the path, its hurdles, the bruises, the falls, the scenery that make it worth the hike. Looking up sometimes is good, in the sense that it gives you the push, but if you walk keeping your head like that, mind it you're going to fall, even more.

Just a reminder to myself, concentrate on the path. The end will manifest itself. Enjoy.
Existing ain't no fun. Have some peace.

Salaam.

The Aftermath.

Saturday, January 23, 2016

They plan, and Allah plans; Allah is the best of Planners.

Allah's plan is so grand - for each one of us. Beyond our comprehension. It's always beautiful to look back and see it all fall right into it's place. You're left in awe of your Creator. How He paints every picture to perfection! SubhanAllah. If you're ever bugged with the feelings of "life not being so fair", "things seeming so impossible" - just take a look around. Observe how the baby birds are being fed, how the minuscule weed is growing into wilderness. Now, turn on your inner eye - how you grew to be this tall, how you learnt to read - the fact that you can right now; how you walked all the way and stand as you are today; how your heart beats hundreds of times in a couple of minutes - just to keep you alive - He has a plan for you, for me, for everyone of us.

Look at the infinite sky - and the moon smiling at you, Galaxies moving away - This expanding universe that started with a BANG and it all came to be this way, like you see today.

Trust Him. Put in your efforts. Allah loves us all.

No doubt, He is the best of  Planners ~

Salaam

What makes you fear those creatures?
Why?
Why do you choose to bow?
You were created for His worship.
Why do prefer to crawl through life; when you had wings to fly ~ adapted from Rumi
Why be like that, why do you sway?
When you have been told "the way".

The way that breathes freedom into those treading;
in the purest of forms.

Freedom.

yes, you hear me right.

The worship of the Creator.
not the created.

Freedom

'cause, in the end, we are all chained,
but we do have the choice,
the choice to hand over the reins to the one who knows it all.

[ or imprisonment ]
