And the people of life inspire me the most !
Amongst the spectrum of people that I get to see, there are some who are juggling through the daily chores and once done, they sit back and relax. Then there are some who are * chores * 'cause that's what they spend their existence in. Often I see those who so much want to have fun, that they are just balancing work with * fun * until it's all in equilibrium. But the thing with most of them is that if you remove work from their lives, it's like fun isn't fun anymore and they are all like a little more sleepy, a little more bleak, dragging forth their existence and devoid of the zest their lives once beheld - when there was work. It's like their life has reduced to weekends - where they wake up late, and then sleep late, and feed their tummy with heaps of food, and mind with all the junk available. And mostly, I gotta meet these kind of people and I am one of these, I guess.
But then there are a few for whom life isn't about finding time for fun, to sit back and relax, waiting for those weekends to end up sleeping, they are having fun all the time. These folks are living all the time. And when they don't have any work, it's not that sleep their days off. They go ahead, explore themselves and the world around. Probably because they are not just about work. They are more about themselves than anything else. They have, I believe, a much higher purpose. I call them the people of life. I don't even know if they are what I think they are. But they inspire me. Allah make me one of those.
These beautiful people of life. I think they are the peaceful lot.
:)

Appreciation, the TRAP.
Once upon a time, there lived a girl named J. She loved doing her thing, because it made her happy and it was within the commandments of Allah. People loved to see her do that. They applauded her, and found inspiration in her. Time passed by and she got used to listening to her praises so much so that *her thing* wasn't about her any more. It was more about "how others will perceive it", and "what they will say", and "will they admire it" and likes of these. All these questions visited her mind often. One autumn evening, she realized, her life wasn't about her any more. She was no more than a pawn, grown out of power altogether. She had handed over the forces to those who regarded her actions. All of that because she got trapped into appreciation. That autumn evening was the inquilaab of her life to come. She realized that what matters more. And the concept of Tawheed transpired further into her heart. It was Allah's pleasure that mattered. If we run towards pleasing people, the end will a painful void.
After that, whenever she decided to do something, a question always popped into her mind, "will Allah like it?".

Lost.
Remember the time you were lost?
When life seemed so impossible, and every step seemed to have a dead end, a block; when your mind wasn't completely yours, it was invaded by a humongous army of negative thoughts, wandering off every other second, inflicting pain on the deeply rooted wounds; when you were left wondering what became of you ... all that because you made people your world.

Remember that it was Allah who showed you the way? He took you out from the darkest of gallows, illuminated your heart and your life and taught you.
It was Allah's love for you that He let you fall into that gorge, because it was that fall that made you find your Creator. It was He holding you down there.
Allah's ways.
I am grateful Allah.
I hope not to judge people. I was like them at a point of time, and I could be as they are in course of my life.
I hope not to judge people. I was like them at a point of time, and I could be as they are in course of my life.
But I am what I am, a little better than before, solely by the virtue of your unbounded mercy.
Allah, forgive me and be with me.
I want to act like those who love you.

AbdAllah, the free soul
"What is freedom?", she asked herself.
She had spent years living what she called freedom, then she realized that that freedom was restricted, pre-defined to her in some way, shape or form.
It was her choice to choose that definition of freedom, but the freedom itself wasn't free. It was the caged freedom. Freedom behind the bars set up by people, humans - like me and you, imperfect beings. And she chose to blindly follow it, and called herself *free*.
It was her choice to choose that definition of freedom, but the freedom itself wasn't free. It was the caged freedom. Freedom behind the bars set up by people, humans - like me and you, imperfect beings. And she chose to blindly follow it, and called herself *free*.
Not until she met her Lord, she realized what freedom truly meant - how beautiful, and blissful it was - it had no boundaries - it was just the free kind of freedom. The kind that tunes your wants to the Creator of your Qalb. It's at the same frequency, and the phenomena you experience in your life is then called *freedom* .
And the real true freedom that humans experience is in the worship of Allah, their Rabb.
