What matter most ..

To Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.

It is that last ray of sun that always brings me back home.
Home, my peaceful space.
Its coordinates, unknown.
The fact that Allah knows.
The fact that HE alone does.
The world will surely fail. It was meant to be this way.
An attribute embedded into it.
Inherently flawed.
Outwardly, concerned.
It was never meant to quench your inner cry, anyway.
It will knock you down.
Crush you over.
Praise you. Embrace you.
Tag its own meanings to your words.
It doesn't know.
How can it?
Boundless, it comes it with its limitations.
To this world, you're its canvas. It paints the way it suits.
It is this dunya, anyway.

This fall is exuberating,
emancipating this caged being.
Don't let it make your heart sway!
It is designed to free you,
Of these million chains.
Chains, invisible; it's grip you can surely feel.

Fly, O freer soul.
high above its reach.
Defeat this gravity.
Don't let it get to you.
Try to stay discreet.

A secret I wish to confide with you -
fly and disappear.
Say Salaam, and let it be.

Teen

We don't own anything. Do we?
Whatever we have, it's a gift and a test from Allah. It is like Allah's trust with us.

Imagine you've a friend who gave you her house as an amanah (trust) for some time, and you live in that house, keep it in a good shape. It is a trust after all. One day, some guests visit you and they speak of their possessions. Suddenly, feelings ( whisperings ) of show off sprout in your heart. You feel like you want to show them how beautiful and big *your* house is. Your house?!

That's exactly what we do when we show off even an atom of what we have been blessed with. Be and it is, Go and it is gone; things are quite easy for HIM. All this is going to end up! What are we bragging about? That piece of land; an earthquake and it will all be torn apart, and the house that will then be all rubble. The fabric that we wear, the wealth that we own! Sometimes, the knowledge that inhabits our minds. This is how low we can possibly fall!

Allah mentions in the second chapter (Surah) of the Quran --
Alif, Lam, Meen. That is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. -- Surah Al Baqarah, 1-5

Spending out from what we have been provided implies that we do not own anything. All of it is from Allah. It is a test Allah puts in our way, to gauge our hearts. Are we getting too attached?  Are our minds open enough to see the source, or are we too lost in ourselves? Are we being a subservient to the Creator or that which He created for our ease? Are we defining ourself by the material, the plastic; that which doesn't even have life? It looks like that is where we all are headed. Abyss !
Let's lift the veil. Let's see our bare self in the infinity of the sky. After all, we are all just clay.

May Allah save us. May Allah help us see the reality always. May we always be indulged deeply in introspection of our own selves. May Allah put barakah into our lives.

JUSTICE !

I see patterns of justice in this ephemeral world,
Patterns that convict it of its fleeting nature;
I see it tearing apart for justice,
Justice for the powerful, the wealthy,
The one who is loaded with arsenal.

A free world order,
Isn't that too much to ask?
To ask of those you can't look beyond the mirrors,
lost in their shadows,
They really are!

Justice for you, if the other refutes your mastery,
refuses to be smeared by your peaceful forces.

Justice for you, if your dreams do not come true,
yours is the bridge built over a million corpses.

Justice for you, if you the turn world blind,
rob it of the very fabric of transparency.

Justice for you, if you join forces,
else you pave way for your own exodus.

Justice for you, though you make the black, white,
shade it gray, when it suits you,
when you fail to zip them up.

Justice, as you define,
In all justice.

But for us is justice,
Everlasting peace.
In God, we put our trust.
Salaam.
